~ Starting Out ~

I've sold on eBay for about 6 years. So, I knew it was possible to make some good money selling online.

At one point I was even a powerseller with a room in my house the we laughingly called the "Ebay Room" because it was full of junk that I'd picked up to sell. (Obviously I was lots faster at buying stuff to sell than actually selling it!)

Most recently I had been designing and selling Custom Boutique children's jewelry that I designed and made myself. It was (and still is) fun and a great creative outlet.

But the most fun part was designing. When I actually had to make a cute auction template to match it, write up a listing and then make 15 of the same thing week after week it got kind of boring.

I also sell tons of puzzles that my "puzzle addict Gramma" gives me. Pretty good income considering that I don't have to pay for them. And they are really easy to list and ship. But I'll never get rich doing that either.

About 3 months ago I started thinking "Gosh, I sure do spend a lot of time on the internet. Wouldn't it be nice if I could make a million dollars a year while I sit here and chat with my friends on messenger?"

Over the years I had somehow gotten on a few mailing lists and would occasionally get emails claiming that if I bought this eBook right now for $47 they could teach me how to easily make $18,000 and blah blah blah! Without thinking much about it I'd just scoff and hit delete.

There was one newsletter that I would get each week from a guy named Jim Cockrum. He quite frequently had ideas about how to improve your eBay business and such.

Of course I didn't try any of those either. As with most of the things in my life I guess I wanted to learn it all the hard way. Haha! But I'd usually skim his newsletter and read a few things that caught my attention.

Anyway, when I finally got serious about trying out some sort of internet marketing I started thinking "Hmmmmm.....where the heck do I start in the great internet sea?" The more I looked around the more confusing it all seemed!

Then one day another of Jim's newletters popped into my inbox and I though "Oh ya! Jim!".

The fact that I had been getting emails from him for longer than most of my friends gave me some confidence that he wasn't just a flash in the pan marketer! I had also read his personal blog about his family and the 3 kids they had adopted internationally so I kind of felt like I knew him.

I also knew that he had some book he had written called something like "The Silent Sales Machine Hiding on Ebay". Since I am known as the "Ebay Queen" to my friends and neighbors you'd think that I would have been all over that. But for some reason I had never read it.

So, I decided that was where I would start.

I went to my email and clicked on a link to find it and read that he (Jim Cockrum) also had a membership team with a bonus pool where I could get the book I wanted for free. The membership was only $20 a month and the book itself was $25. So I figured "Ok, what the heck. If it's stupid I'll just cancel my subscription." And I signed up.

What a pleasant surprise it was to discover that, just as advertised, the site is full of awesome USABLE information! And best of all there is a forum where you can actually ask the pro's direct questions. In fact Jim himself personally answered the first post I made to the forum! I felt like I had just gotten an autograph from someone famous! Hahahahaha!

Since signing up on June 27th I have read, read and read until I have so much new info floating around in my head that I feel like a walking encyclopedia! I'll post more info on all that later.

For now if any of you want to check out Jim's book or his site here are the links.
